Preston, Rebecca, PhD

Dr. Rebecca N. Preston serves as as Clinical Lead for Missouri’s Early Psychosis Care (EPC) Center. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Hosftra University with training strongly rooted in evidence-based treatment modalities and rigorous research methods. Her research interests concentrate on stressors and impaired self-regulatory behaviors that both predate and maintain disorders of self-control and co-morbid psychiatric disorders in vulnerable populations. Dr. Preston facilitates the implementation of evidence-based practices for first-episode psychosis services, building capacity across the state to prevent the onset of and provide treatment for early psychosis. Her work with the EPC Center focuses on reducing implementation and service barriers thereby improving youth mental health care access and quality.

Mutrux, Rachel, BA

Rachel Mutrux has worked in telehealth since 2002. In her current role as Director of the Missouri Telehealth Network & Show-Me ECHO, Rachel is responsible for leading the organizational priorities, representing telehealth to stakeholders, and overseeing MTN budgets and grants.
Rachel is active in the national telehealth affiliation groups and presents locally, regionally and nationally on MTN projects such as Rural Citizen’s Access to Telehealth, Heartland Telehealth Resource Center (HTRC) and Show-Me ECHO.

Center for Behavioral Medicine (CBM), formerly Western Missouri Mental Health Center, is an agency for the Department of Mental Health. CBM is  located on Hospital Hill in the heart of Kansas City and provides comprehensive psychiatric care to patients from Kansas City as well as the 54 counties in the Western side of the State.  CBM operates as one of the major training sites for the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Department of Psychiatry, fulfilling academic and research needs. Additionally, students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows are trained at CBM to deliver integrated physical and behavioral health care.

The Center focuses its services on bridging the gap between physical and behavioral medicine with an emphasis on wellness. The Center provides a therapeutic approach to recovery that assists individuals to progress regardless of their limitations or symptoms by utilizing evidence based diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in a holistic approach to patient treatment.

Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center (NMPRC) is a 108-bed psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient care for adults.

The new campus was completed and occupied in July of 1997. It replaced the old St. Joseph State Hospital directly across the street, which had housed the hospital since 1874. The old campus is now a Department of Corrections facility.

Keeton, Zhanna, MBA, MA, LPC, CCTS, BA

Zhanna Keeton, a Doctoral Candidate in Counseling & Care with a specialization in Trauma (Ed.D), is an accomplished executive and clinical professional with extensive experience in trauma-informed care and mental health. She holds an MBA from Webster University and an MA in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. As the Executive Director of Center for Life Solutions, Zhanna oversees $6M+ in contracts, having significantly increased revenue and operational efficiency while leading the agency to ASAM certification and CARF accreditation. Her previous roles include founding and leading Phoenix Behavioral Health and serving as Chief Operations Officer at Jimmy Keys Fitness & Wellness, where she developed strategies for business growth and program development. In her clinical roles, Zhanna has provided trauma-informed therapy to diverse populations, including victims of human trafficking and individuals with severe mental illness. She is an active member of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence and has presented on trauma and mental health at various conferences. A published author and Licensed Professional Counselor, Zhanna is also certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional and Trauma and Addiction Specialist.
