Diana Jones is a Human Resource professional with 25+ years of progressive experience administering programs and agency supports, employee onboarding, leadership development and general human resource duties. She holds expertise providing infrastructure for new and transitioning programs. Ms. Jones is a Certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leader (CDEIL) and currently serves at the Director of Equity and Inclusion for St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center, a DMH psychiatric facility that employs 600+ employees.

Rakhshan Rouhakhtar, Pamela, PhD

Pamela Rakhshan Rouhakhtar, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and an assistant research scientist at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She completed her internship in 2021 at the Clinical High Risk for Psychosis track within the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine Psychology Internship Consortium, and received her degree in human services psychology from UMBC. Pamela’s work focuses on the validation and development of psychosis spectrum assessments and studying the role of cultural and contextual factors — particularly race — in our understanding of the psychosis construct, as well as illness presentation, course, and treatment. She is also a co-director of the Strive for Wellness (SFW) clinic within the Maryland Early Intervention Program, where she and the SFW team provide clinical supervision/training, assessment, consultation, and treatment for youth and their families in the Maryland community experiencing early or attenuated symptoms of psychosis.

Wilson, Amy, PsyD

Dr. Amy Wilson is a licensed psychologist who’s conducted psychological evaluations with children for over ten years in the St. Louis community. Dr. Wilson is certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) and specializes in evaluating foster and adopted children who’ve experienced trauma. For evaluations, Dr. Wilson takes a collaborative approach in working with caregivers and providers to conceptualize how early trauma has impacted a child’s social, emotional and behavioral development. Furthermore, Dr. Wilson has interests in enhancing support for traumatized children in schools, working with caregivers to better understand their child, and program development.

Scaccia, Jamie, PsyD

Dr. Jamie Scaccia is a clinical psychologist from St. Louis, Missouri. Her career has been dedicated to working with families with a history of trauma. She is trained in the Neursosequential Model of Therapeutics framework, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and EMDR, amongst other trauma focused approaches. Dr. Scaccia also enjoys training and supervision, community engagement, and advocacy.

Grady, Shari, PhD, LCPC, LPC, NCC, CISM

Dr. Grady has served in the helping profession for over 22 years, with her early work including 12 years conducting investigations on allegations of child abuse/neglect with the State of Missouri Children’s Division. In 2011 she went to grad school and obtained a master’s degree in counseling. Since then, she has worked in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient units at psychiatric hospitals, grief support centers, and outpatient wellness clinics. Her most recent work includes owning and operating a private practice in the metro area of Kansas City. Dr. Grady specializes in grief and frequently provides therapy to those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one due to suicide, homicide, child death, and sudden death. She also serves as a consultant to local schools who have suffered the loss of students to suicide by providing presentations and tips on managing grief reactions. When she isn’t working with grief, Dr. Grady enjoys speaking at seminars designed to teach the helping professional how to recognize and cope with signs of stress and burnout. Much of her other work involves therapy with individuals on matters related to anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Dr. Grady is currently licensed in Kansas and Missouri, with national board certification and a certificate in Critical Incident Stress Response. Dr. Grady’s dissertation and doctoral research included analysis of youth suicide statistics and how connection with educators could reduce the incidence of suicide in young people. She speaks at school districts throughout the country to educate them on the warning signs and precipitating circumstances in the lives of suicidal youth, while also providing educators with practical strategies for reducing youth suicides within their local districts.

Harvey, Karyn, PhD

Karyn Harvey has worked as a clinician in the field of intellectual disabilities for over 35 years. She has her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Maryland. She has published articles about therapeutic interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), workbooks for individuals with IDD, and two books. Her first book, Positive Identity Development was published in 2009 and Trauma-Informed Behavioral Interventions, published in 2011. Her third book, Trauma and Healing will be released in 2023 by AAIDD. She is the director of program development and training for the Park Ave Group practice where she does both individual and group therapy with people with intellectual disabilities. In addition, she regularly conducts trainings on trauma-informed support for people with IDD, trauma-informed leadership, and trauma-informed behavioral interventions for both state and individual organizations throughout the US and Canada.

Welch, Tim, PhD, LMFT

Tim Welch is an assistant professor at the University of Central Missouri in the Human Development and Family Science program. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who completed his doctorate in Couple and Family Therapy at Michigan State University. His dissertation focused on alcohol use and resiliency from adverse childhood experiences. He has published articles in scientific journals on the process of change in empirically supported couple and family therapy treatments and has presented at regional and national conferences on divorce, the transition to parenting, ACEs and family therapy interventions. He has experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital with children, a large outpatient non-profit for at-risk youths, delivering home-based family therapy services for families working towards family reunification and in private practice working with adult survivors of child abuse. Dr. Welch has received trainings in multiple evidence based practices including Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Thumann, Kathryn, MSW, LCSW

Katie Thumann, LCSW, is the Chief Operating Officer at St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center. Ms. Thumann is a BSW and MSW graduate of the St. Louis University School of Social Work. Ms. Thumann is a certified Green Belt and graduate of the Spring 2020 Governor’s Leadership Academy. She has over 13 years of experience working in mental health and leadership roles.
