Myra Jenkins, ST

Myra Jenkins, ST, is currently completing her BSW at the University of Central Missouri. Prior to returning to college to complete her social work degree, she completed her education in surgical technology and worked for over ten years in the Kansas City, MO medical/hospital community. She has authored a manual, “Grief Support Groups: A Biblically Based Ministry for Those Who Have Suffered the Loss of a Loved One.” She is an avid volunteer, and her experiences have included patient advocacy; initiating a soup delivery stewardship for the sick and shut-in; homeless shelter administrative aide; lead grief support group facilitator and trainer. Currently, she volunteers as a children’s program advocate with Community LINC, in Kansas City, MO. While at Community LINC, she was selected to write, and have published, an article for their community/website newsletter. She is currently working on a book series on faith and its relationship to mind, body, and spiritual health.

Richard Young, MSW, MDiv, LCSW, CSAT, CMAT is in private practice in St. Louis, MO. He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. In his private practice he focuses on treatment with individuals struggling with sexual addiction along with providing treatment for partners/spouses to address accompanying trauma. He offers individual, couples, and group therapy. Richard graduated from St. Louis University with his MSW in 1998 and completed his certification for treatment of sexual addiction in 2012. He completed his certification in treatment of multiple addictions in 2015.

Nolin, PhD, Marta

Dr. Marta Nolin has worked for Mo DOC for 19 years the past 12 of which she has served as an Assistant Division Director for the Div of Offender Rehabilitative Services with oversight of substance use disorders services. In her “past lives” she has worked in various clinical positions in private practice, hospital and college & university settings in Massachusetts, Ohio & Missouri. She also worked in the College Student Personnel field and also an adjunct faculty member in various colleges and universities. She moved to Missouri 30 years ago for the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at UMC.

Stephen Doherty, Regional Director with Gateway Foundation provides operational oversight of 9 Gateway program sites in Missouri providing substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment to adults involved in the criminal justice system. Mr. Doherty has over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health treatment field, and eight years as an adjunct faculty member.

Kerby, MA, LPC, Scott

Scott Kerby, MA, LPC has seven years’ experience working as a substance abuse and mental health counselor and supervisor, following twelve years of previous experience as a Student Minister working with at-risk youth and their families. Kerby is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and provides training, coaching, and supervision in a wide variety of settings. He is passionate about equipping professionals with evidence-based practices that will allow them to be more effective in helping others change. Kerby is married with two sons and does his best to not embarrass his wife while coaching little league.

James M. Smith, MEd, LPC, has a broad range of work experience, and has training in Trauma Focused CBT. Mr. Smith is currently a Ph.D. student at Walden University.

Holtmeyer, MEd, Greg

Greg Holtmeyer, MEd, is a survivor of sexual abuse in recovery. His own personal journey to recovery gave him the experience of the lack of resources for male victims of sexual abuse and assault. He founded The Phoenix Project to provide awareness, education, and resources to victims and their loved ones.

Crawford, Tara, MA

Tara Crawford is a master’s-level professional with 11 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice and her master’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri. Tara has experience working in the comprehensive psychiatric program, developmental disabilities waiver program, and in community corrections. As a staff member of the Missouri Division of the Behavioral Health, Tara acts as the Division’s Integrated Care Liaison for the Disease Management and Healthcare Home programs. She also serves on the Division’s Policy Team, Advance Directive Advisory Committee, and as the Division’s representative for the Missouri Coalition for Oral Health.

Rudder, Tim, MSW

Tim Rudder received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University and is finishing his MSW through the University of MO-Columbia. Mr. Rudder holds a CADC and MARS credential from the Missouri Credentialing Board. Mr. Rudder has been with the DBH since 2008, prior to that working as a CADC at a treatment facility for adolescents with substance use disorders. Currently, he is the Manager of the DBH Billing and Services Review team, prior to that, Mr. Rudder served as the program specialist for the SAMHSA Access to Recovery (ATR) grant from 2008-2015. Mr. Rudder also services as the Program Manager for the State of Missouri’s Medication Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA) grant.
