Lloyd Sederer, MD, is the author of 11 books and hundreds of articles on the field of mental health and the addictions. He is Medical Editor for Mental Health at The Huffington Post; Adjunct Professor at the Columbia/Mailman School of Public Health; and Chief Medical Officer for the NYS Office of Mental Health, the nation’s largest state mental health agency. He is also a monthly regular on Tell Me Everything, the SiriusXM radio show hosted by John Fugelsang.

Lloyd Adams, Readjustment Counseling TechnicianLloyd has been employed with the Columbia Vet Center since May 2015.  Lloyd enlisted into the United States Army in 1986 as a Combat Engineer and Heavy Equipment Operator.  Lloyd has 20 years of service and retired in 2006.  He has overseas tours in Germany, Korea, Desert Storm, Somalia, Iraq and UN Peace Keeping in Macedonia.  Lloyd has worked as a government contractor for 8 years with Vinnell Arabia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, training their National Guard Officer and Enlisted Soldiers on the Engineer Doctrine.  He just loves meeting people and helping them anyway he can.

Mark Johnson, MS Readjustment Counseling Outreach TechnicianMark has been employed with the Columbia Vet Center since March 2014.  Mark enlisted in 1994 into the United States Marine Corps.  Mark continued his military career with the US Army and retired in 2015.  Mark has served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  Mark earned his BS in computer science from Columbia College and his MS in computer science from the University of Illinois.  Mark loves working with veterans and their families, and he is willing to go the extra mile to help veterans.

Griffith, Amy, PhD

For over 4 years, Dr. Amy Griffith has been the Clinical Director of the Missouri Sex Offender Program for the Missouri Department of Corrections, where she also oversees the Sexually Violent Predator evaluations for offenders.  She has worked in multiple domains with sexually problematic behavior, across age and gender spectrums, to include community treatment and Sexually Violent Predator populations.  Dr. Griffith’s passion is sexual violence prevention, and she has spoken on, or testified in court about, topics in this area for several agencies and professionals throughout Missouri.

McDowell, Mickie

Mickie McDowell: Mickie McDowell has proven to be an expert in the field of recovery services and consumer operated programs. She currently works as the Peer Services Program Specialist for the Missouri Department of Mental Health where she advocates tirelessly for peer support services. She has been a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist since 2009 and is currently part of the training team for that program as well as the Family Support Provider program. Mickie is serving her second term as chair of the State Advisory Committee for Comprehensive Psychiatric Services. She is a consultant, trainer and highly sought after motivational speaker. Her lived experience with mental health issues and addiction has enabled her to use her recovery story to help others find hope and empowerment along their own journey of recovery. Mickie recently graduated from Columbia College with her B.A. in Human Services and plans to pursue a Masters in Social Work.

Earll, Sarah

Sarah Earll: Sarah Earll was the Assistant Director of the St. Louis Empowerment Center, a peer-run drop in Center for 12 years and for the past 3 years she has been the Co-Director. For the past 10 years, she has had the opportunity to be an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist and has been a trainer for the Peer Specialist program for the past 6 years.  Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX and a Masters of Fine Arts from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.

Jordan, Toni

Toni Jordan: Toni Jordan has been a certified Missouri peer specialist since March of 2009. In 2011 she became a peer specialist trainer for the Dept. of Mental Health. She travels throughout Missouri teaching the peer specialist curriculum, and works with the Department to revise the curriculum as needed. Toni also holds the following credentials: MRSS-P (Missouri Recovery Support Specialist-Peer), RASAC II (Recognized Associate Substance Abuse Counselor) and FSP (Family Support Provider). Toni is passionate about teaching her peers the material and tools to use to help peers in recovery move forward.

Breedlove, Scott, MS

Scott Breedlove is the Assistant Director for the Missouri Credentialing Board, teaches Substance Abuse Classes for Columbia College, conducts weekly group classes for Probation/Parole and Division of Family Service clients and is Pastor of Landmark Church. Scott has a Master Degree with an addiction emphasis from the University of South Dakota and has almost 24 years of personal long-term recovery. Scott conducts trainings and speaks at conferences throughout the United States.

Wilson, Juan

Juan Wilson is a detective for the City of St. Charles Police Department and has been with the department since 2006. He has been assigned to numerous specialty positions to include an undercover detective for the St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force. As a Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration St. Louis Division since 2012, Juan has spearheaded an effort to investigate deaths that resulted from the distribution and use of narcotics, more specifically heroin. In May of 2015, The Eastern District of Missouri reviewed several of Juan’s cases and indicted 4 defendants for their roles in the distribution of heroin that caused a death. Juan’s efforts have afforded him opportunities to participate in two ABC Nightline documentaries about the heroin epidemic in St. Louis and the surrounding area, local news airings on Fox 2 News and KPLR 11, as well as awareness videos on YouTube. Juan works closely with families, local treatment centers, school districts, non-profit organizations, and community outreach groups by providing drug awareness and education. Juan has training in various areas of law enforcement including Advanced Undercover Training by the Memphis Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit and Medicolegal Death Investigator Training by the St. Louis University’s Medical Examiner’s Office.
