Ashley Mooring, MSW, LMSW, joined as the Eastern Region’s Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) Coordinator in August 2015. In this role, Ashley provides leadership for the ERE Outreach Team, which is comprised of clinical staff from the Eastern Region’s 7 Community Mental Health Centers. Previous to this role, she worked for Shalom House as their Transitional Housing Coordinator, providing oversight, counseling, direct case management, and supportive services to women with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders who were transitioning from homelessness to independent living. In her 14-year career in social services, Ashley has also worked for BJC Behavioral Health as a Social Work Case Manager, and as a PRN medical social worker for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Prior to moving to St. Louis, she was instrumental in building and leading Pepperdine University’s Volunteer Center, where for 9 years she supervised staff and student leaders who provided service opportunities for 1,200+ students annually with over 100 different organizations worldwide. She also helped managed generous grant funding to augment curriculum with service learning opportunities focused on social justice and diversity issues. Ashley received a MSW from Washington University’s Brown School and a MA from Fuller Theological Seminary.
